anyways.. i just got out from a meeting.. lovely day.. freeway was clear.. put the top down.. it was sunny.. was going on the freeway.. and changin freeways.. on the ramp.. it was a 2 lane ramp.. a 350z pulls up next to me.. old man looks at me and gives me a grin.. i thought to myself.. he must be happy for some reason.. anyways.. i was slowin down on the on ramp from noticin him.. so i downshift from 6th.. to 4th.. going about.. 50 mph so i can pick up a lil speed.. cause it was hard to do so in 6th going about 50.. old man thought that i wanted to race him.. i hear him downshift also.. in my mind.. i already knew what was gonna happen..

and yep.. it happened what i thoguht was gonna happen.. i hear him step on it a lil bit.. i downshift into 3rd.. and i take off immediately.. close to vtec.. around 5700 rpm's.. and we r still on the on ramp.. this on ramp is huge.. its 2 lanes.. and at the end of the on ramp.. the lanes merge and become one lane.. so i gun it on this ramp.. and the 350z follows.. when the ramp is done.. the freeway breaks into 4 lanes.. i then put my signal up.. saw that the road was clear.. no cars comin and no cars in front.. and take off.. everytime i shifted.. i would inch away from the Z.. from 3rd.. to 4th.. i would pull on him slow.. but noticeable.. 4th to 5th.. still pullin.. by the time i was at the end of 5th.. i had a good 3 cars on him.. and hence he started right next to me.. i then shut down at close to my 5th.. 120-125.. waited for the Z guy to come by.. old man gives me a thumbs up and a smile.. returned the favor.. and drove normally.. drove normally for about 5 miles and the Z exited the freeway.. and waved me a bye.. very nice man.. respected him for being nice..

to me i thought it was "awkward".. i've raced Z's before.. stock vs stock.. and its a very close race.. but by 3rd gear.. we will pull a lil on the Z.. and pretty much win the race in 4th.. but i pulled quick on him.. and left him behind me by a lot.. i'm almost positive it was a drivers race this time.. but i dont think i wouldve walked on him by 3 cars.. i thought maybe 1.. even if he tried and was a bad driver.. so it was interesting! =P

It's definately a drivers race Z vs s2000. I pulled a Z in my s2000 by a half car right off the downshift into 2nd, pulled another car length and the Z driver crapped out. He was a gentlemen though, he said between cars it's a drivers race. You out drove the guy, nice kill. I out drive the faster car all the time. Rarely see Z's though, and when I see them old men and women driving.

no auto.. heard him shift.. and no vert.. it was a coupe..

 

You can down shift in the auto too. He could have been using the "manual" mode.

I ran a 350Z with an intake and i have an intake and i took him by a car till 130. Then i squeezed and had 8-9 cars on him. Nothing like the bottle
