Default Is300

I was wondering if anyone here has been pulled by an IS300. I've personally never raced one... but a friend of my friend's claimed that his IS300 pulled on a S2k rolling start at 75mph. What do you guys think?

i think either s2k didn't know how to downshift or didn't even bother

A modded IS300 has crazy potential going down the straights. The IS probally had mods done to it to run off like that, its very possible and the S would get a raping if the IS was turbocharged.

My car rapes a 5 speed IS300... I'd hate to see what a S would do to it. The IS must have been modded. Modded IS are sweet though. It has the Supra engines in them (minus the TT) right?

A stock IS300 in no match for a stock S2000 unless you dont know what gear to downshift into.

Like its been pointed out, there are a lot of fast turbod IS300s out there.

A NA IS300 isn't a threat at all.

Boosted is another story... Toyomoto, PFS, etc., all make great kits for the 2JZ and they can rape NSX's, Ferrari's, Corvettes and such. The motor has incredible boost potential.

Keep an ear out for a BOV on an IS300... chances are, you're not going to win. But then again, racing with a boosted 3.0L I-6 to an all motor 2.0L 4 cylinder isn't playing fair no?

From what I understand, swapping in a GTE engine into an IS300 involves an incredible amount of time and headaches.

The GTE engine has extra cool stuff like piston oil squirters and such, but you're right on about how just slapping on a stock turbo off a GTE engine onto a GE doesn't make it a GTE.

That being said, the GE is still quite awesome with some pulling almost 550TQ using stage 2 Powerhouse Racing kits. As "Jessie" said in F&F,

"... this will decimate all.."

isn't too far from the truth except for the really crazy exotic setups. It'd be more than a match for almost all the cars you'd see on the road.

The engine's awesome for boosting, nuff said.
