Is300
My mom drives an O2 IS300 5 speed. It's a beautiful car and a ton of fun to drive through the twisties. But it doesn't have much for acceleration. It needs about a thousand more RPM, 50 more horsepower, and a taller fifth gear. It pulls nicely in fifth on the highway, but the gas mileage is usually 21-23. This could be much better. My friend beat me in it with his 1983 454 two wheel drive pickup over a peroid of about 4 blocks. Dead even acceleration, about a fender difference. Something just ain't right with that
The truck is stock! Under no situation is the IS300 a match for the S2000 if it's stock vs. stock.

I have a MY02 IS300. The stock 2JZ doesn't have strong midrange, it's pretty even across the entire rpms. It doesn't "pull" hard like it does on a DOHC VTEC engine due to the linear power delivery provided by VVT-i technology.
If you're referring to the torque differences, then that's understandable but a stock S2k will always pull hard on a stock IS300 manual no problem (unless the driver of the S2000 decides to go WOT without downshifting for example at 3000 rpms, which would indicate a poor driver).
