1-2 Grind: I'm 99.9% certain by now that if you are getting the grind (post TSB or model year '01) it's because you're not putting the clutch all the way down BEFORE shifting OUT of 1st. A lot of times you just don't realize you're taking it out of gear before the clutch is all the way down. Once I focused on this, I never had the grind again (I have MY '01).

I traded in my 97 GST Spyder for my stook. The stook is faster than a stock turbo. The eclipse will accelerate faster from a dead stop but you should be able to leave a eclipse turbo once you get to about 60 mph or so.
