Default Killed a Z28

So I was going home from dinner with my gf, and I see this car flying up and pass me. It was a Z28 with SS badging and some loud ass pipes with no cats, cause I could hear that thing popping all over the place. So I thought why not, and made a right turn onto a bigger street with him. As soon as he finish the turn he got on it, so I gun it right after him. By the end of first, I catched up to his rear bumper. I had to change lane so I won't hit his ass through 2nd, and by the end of third I was 1 one car ahead. So that was about 3 cars, and I came to the conclusion that it was a fake SS. I wanted to race him again from a dig, but he won't even look at me when I was next to him at the light. Now if it had been a real SS, it would've been real close.

My thoughts exactly. I've run a lightly modded LT1 Z28, and it was a rather even match in my stock s2k.

EDIT: Ok so I should read better..were you in the STi or the Z06?

z28 and SS are very very close in performance. Cars with just a different muffler can pop, so dont assume he didnt have his cats. I dont have cats on my car and it doesnt pop. I would ask you what year it was, but most people have hard time telling. sooo i guess good kill?

Mustangs and Camaro V6s can be rather deceptive sounding w/ the right exhaust setup..I've been fooled before.

I missed that too. What car were you in? I'd believe either one.

Really? I thought one has the LT1 and the other has the LS1? I always thought the SS was quite a bit faster than the regular Z28. It wasn't popping here and there, it was popping ALOT. I mean I could still hear it popping when he was like 10 cars ahead of me. I couldn't really tell what year it was, but it wasn't the last year model.
