That's just sad. There's actually a thread going on in off topic about this exact same thing.

The thing that irks me about this story is that it really makes street racing look bad (I am not endorsing it), but in this case the racers got their 'just desserts'. The guy racing the Jetta was probably beyond his capabilities, and died as a result. The other 2 weren't racing related - they were alcohol and sleepiness related - but if the reader skims they may think these were all street-racing induced, which is not the case.

I hate the news media

I think the problem comes up when bystanders get hurt along with the "just deserts"... and the problem with knowing your limits... is in the wrong place they will kill you and anyone else in your way... very very few people knew there limits at the young ages of some of these drivers until they exceeded them.

the problem is most people out there are usually not that great of a driver and they don't know the limits of their car.

The best way to enjoy the S2000 is to go to a track day. Street racing is a great way to get yourself and others hurt.

It's people like that ... makes Honda look bad. For 10 good things you do, you only need 1 to ruin it.
