The Mach 1 is a handful at best for an E46 M3 given equal drivers. Go to m3forum.com and check out some of Scott's (divexxtreme) posts as he owns both. The Mach is fully capable of running low 13's or high 12's if you think otherwise then enjoy your ignorance until you learn the truth.

The s2000 is very fast from a roll, and the advantage is lost by the mach when it races the s2000 from a roll.
With this statement, you lost ANY credibility that you may have had. I love the S2000 but to think that it can hang with a Mach 1 (stock for stock) from a roll is just ignorance or stupidity.

I guess the machs I've seen run weren't driven well. They are high 13 cars all day long.

The mach has to have some stuff done to it to beat the s2000 by very much.

This has got to be the dumbest post on here in a long time....

VAFC tuning refers to the Apexi product VTEC Air Fuel Controller(VAFC). This hardware can be programmed to change the VTEC engagement point and modify/maximize the A/F mixture. An expirienced tuner can use this to get a few extra NA ponies.

FOR ONE THING THE MACH 1 ISN'T A LOW 13 SEC CAR. ANYONE WHO THINKS IT IS IS FULL OF SH!T. You have to realize that car is a 300hp car that weighs like 3400 pounds. My m3 has 333 and weighs that much. I raped a mach 1.
What's with all the hostility. I've beaten several M3's in my 97 Cobra and my friend's Mach 1 was about 1/4 car behind me at the end of the 1/4 mile when we raced at the localtrack. As derryck posted, a properly dirven Mach will be a handful for the M.

You have to realize that the avg. Mach has as least 280+ rearwheel hp and 300 rwtq....exactly on par with the M.

well I have never said the mach wasn't fast, just not low 1/4 material. The numbers just don't add up. Well driven the mach could be a mid 13 car possibly, but who knows. Maybe I just have a freak M3, because machs just don't seem like they are that fast.

Nah, I think its more of a combination of you being a decent driver and running into Mach 1 drivers who aren't as good. Either that or you are runnin into automatic Machs, not 5 spd Machs.

The numbers do add up..the avg. mach has over 325 hp and 340 tq.

Also, are you racing from a roll or a stop?

Stop, you don't own an M3.
