i dont know why you guys are saying a stock s2k would walk a lightly modded 05+ - 09. the OP did not state that he walked one, keeping up with one is reasonable. an exhaust and canned tuned i presume is not alot more power a Gt. its a 3600lb ish car with 260whp. we are 800lbs less with 200 whp. it is capable of keeping up with one stock for stock. s2k might even pull from a roll stock vs stock.

with that trap speed you should be right there. a s2k from a roll is weird. i trapped 102mph alot, 103 with some good shift, and ran 13.6 with simple bolt ons untuned. i have beaten my fair share N/A.

2008 mustang gt, vista blue, c.a.i, muffler delets (not my typing)

Yes, but the OP says he stopped the pull and from the phrasing it seemed to be immediately, and as Nuncostr8 said, it takes a lot of power to do that immediately if someone has a 2 car lead. I do that to people on my bike, not in the Cobra. Also, highway racing is not the same thing as a drag strip. The extra HP the GT has really comes into play pushing it to higher speeds. Also, to be honest, I/E/Tune mustangs will put down around 300 rwhp, so unless this thing was just the slowest GT ever, it had to be the driver.

Don't get me wrong, I realize the S2000 is a fantastic car, I've just seen my fair share is all.

the new V6 stang will not walk a stock S2000...when going down to cali for the long beach gran prix my other friends had a rental V6 stang, and i would bus length them and hold the lead all the way to there 115mph limiter...of course that was just getting on it after 3 honks, and not letting there auto kick down; which is hard to time in a race...the best timed one w/ the auto kicking down was a 45 roll...still put 3 cars on him...

when we got down there another friend had a V6 manual w/ the 3.31 rear end...I would put about a car and a half on him all the way to his 115mph limiter...me 02 s2k w/ only I/H/TP/E...so i would assume a stock s2k would be right there w/ the manu V6 w/ the 3:31 rear...

did about 10 runs w/ each car at different speeds...even the slightly out of vtec rolls i would stop them, then pull past...digs...well that didnt really count as it seamed that i was the better driver...they were not that great in the digs...

and our buddie w/ the V6 manual 6spd already lost a tranny before 6k miles...lol

A gt with catbakr and tune will not produce 300rwhp. Now intake full exhaust including headers and x pipe yes. I ran one that went 13.1 at 108mph from a 1st gear roll and was 1 and half cars behind. 1st at 30mph.

The car may be a factory freak, but I've seen a late model 3 valve with CAI, catback and tune put down 300+.

How exactly would a "bad" driver factor in if it was an auto?

Are you suggesting that everyone is a perfect driver with an automatic transmission? As the OP said he was obviously an inexperienced racer, who knows what he was doing. I didn't say that it was definitively the driver did I? There's more to straight line racing than pressing a pedal.

If it ran 13.1 @ 108 it's not very fast, it's just getting out the hole good!!

60'fts are tricky.. The lower they are sometimes makes the trap lower..

13.1 at 108mph is with his 2.2 60 foot. with his drag radials he wnt 12.7 at 106-107mph. i am good friends with the guy and he admits my car is very quick. i know there are ALOT of inexperienced drivers out there, it makes them look bad and makes you look good. who cares, if you have a 10 sec car and dont know how to drive it. to me then the car is not a 10 sec car. the car is only as fast as its driver.

You are right, I always forget that some people in automatics, when racing, just don't put their foot down "all the way"
