Power without traction is like TRL without Carson Daly. It just doesn't work.

My '99 Lightning is tricky to launch for sure, probably more so than the Honda.

are we talking stock vs. stock?? I have a 2001 Lightning as well, and lets just say its a drivers race with the Lightning having the advantage (automatic). If the S2000 doesn't launch right or shift correctly, its all over.

That's about how bad my friend got beat in his Spa Yellow. He said about 7 lengths light-to-light...about a half-mile.

The truck might've been worked, or it might've been the later models that run low 13's.

That's exactly what I raced, the 2001-up model. But Ford claims they run 13.8 not low 13's.

Hmm...

my friend must've raced a worked one then. But then again, he sorta babies his S. I went on a two-hour trip with him to Tucson and he pretty much stayed only slightly above the speed-limit and got into VTEC only twice when passing some REALLY slow cars. So there.
