Default Lost to a Syclone

Ok, this is not S2K related but it was probably the best race I had in my Z06 since it was modded.

I was cruising down the road when this Syclone blew past me and souned really mean. I could tell he had something under the hood as the turbo spool was really loud and I can smell the race gas.He was alone and I had a 200lb passenger. So we continue cruise down to a deserted mile long straight. I didn't get a chance to honk and he was off, I tried to catch up to him but realize I wasn't making any grounds on him. A car merged onto the highway so I shut down.

We pop a U on the same road for go at it, and I turned on the nitrous this time as I know I have no chance on motor. I did the 3 honk thing at 50ish and he didn't go, then he just guns it. So he gets about a 1/2 car on me from the jump, and we're DEAD even from 50-120. From 120-140 I SLOWLY pull about 1/2 car and we shut down at around 140.

I was really shocked with how fast his car was, so I pulled into a parking lot to see what he had in the thing. Turned out that the car had a built and slightly stroked motor, GT42/GT47 or 76mm turbo? He wasn't really clear, but that turbo was bigger than my head. He said he was running close to 30# of boost and he usually runs 30+ PSI on pump with a 50/50 mix of C16 which he was running last night. The kicker is that he said he was running without 2nd gear on his Auto 4 speed, it was shifting from 1st into 3rd skipping 2nd. The guy says he runs low 10s in the high 130s, fast pickup.

Waiting for GM to come out with a Tornado or Tsunami, and such.

Those trucks were bad ass back in the day. Nothing could touch them. Much like our cars they were quite rare on the streets which makes it that much nicer.
