This was the day to have fun. Over 300 miles travelled and cars and cars from around the town. Went to the Alki beach /Park trip yesterday and man did I have fun. Finally got to meet some other members and see some very nice cars. All the races we had pasengers and my top was down. We had some nice clean road fro miles at a time. About 8 minutes worth of video was shot. I myself took over 260megs of pictures and video on my camera.


Race 1. I got stuck behind a Civic Hatch and an Integra. I couldn't get next to them so I figured what the hell I will just leave it in Sixth at 70. They went, I went. They pulled two cars and then I started to creep up on them then they shut down. I justed wanted to see what the S could do in sixth cuz I was behind them. (this is how my firend lost his last car)
Race 2. Turbo hatch. He's quick. First run I went through third he pulled just past my front and then bang. You will never guess. Thirs to second. Yah I said that right. Third to Second just for a second and got back out. I was like $hit. Did I break something. NOPE. Nothing sounding bad. So what the hell go again. Now of course he was like miles in front of me due to this.

Race 3. Turbo Hatch again. Had to do a rematch. I needed to know just how far ahead this car was going to be. I needed to know if my mods are going to take this guy when I am done after the summer. So we run again. Third at 70 start. He takes me after my shift into fourth and had 5 cars by the end of fifth. I think my planned mods can get him. I hope at least.

Race 4. The SR from my long lost post. He is now running 11 psi and hung within a couple cars of the Turbo hatch so I thought my A$$ was going to get handed to me now. Nope. He pulls like a car maybe a car and a half and doesn't pull anymore. We ran out of room to see if he would pull or maybe I sould gain ground. This race started out with me out of VTEC in third.

RAce 5. Integra and Integra and me. Side by side. This one was from a third at 60. We all start out and I am not gaining and then... I hit VTEC in third and bang jumping I go. I see a car in front of me and notice that I am already a car in front of the Integra so around I go and around I go. I could of just kept pulling on them both but I shut down.

All in all it was a very fun night and hope to do it again soon. I didn't go out to race that day but hey when you get an opportunity like this who wants to pass it up. Call it my birthday present.

 

umm just a tip, when you are racing you should always be in vtec.

 

^ Yep, downshifting gives you more of a jump than punching it at certain rpm's.

Damn, I usually cruise Alki on hot days, guess I missed the train yesterday.

 

If I was determined to give it my best I would have went for a second gear 50mph run. I was just out for some video fun. The two cars I lost to I didn't have a chance to take even if I was in first and right in VTEC.

 

^ Just saying from a downshift into vtec you accelerate that much harder. Did you tape it by chance?

 

We taped most everything that went on between the three cams. I didn't have one in my car but it was in about 3-5 minutes of the vid. I did a straight flyby for the vid. Intake screamin 9k first to second. It looked and sounded awesome. The camera guy is great. Next trip he is mine.
