Just curious. I've seen a couple of older models (I guess 90-94 or so) hatch back BMW with M badge on it (but looks like a 318 model). They revved at me but I didn't bite. Do BMW make M cars in hatchback or the drivers just put badges on 318's?

Actually I've taken a crap on a few S4s around here, I didn't know those were considered to be in the same league as C5s and 911s.
911s aren't that much faster than our cars by the way, I was chasing one down a one lane straight road about a month ago and I could barely notice an increase in distance between us.

So while we're on the subject, when I see these BMWs around town with an "M" in front of the 318 or 325 decal on the back, does it mean their loser owners were just too lazy to remove their original badges and replace them with "M3" decals that you can probably find on eBay for $9.95?
