It's never pretty hitting those things. I've been in three cars that hit deer in Northern Wisconsin. Last one was a Blazer and I was in the back. doing 60 and the deer ran out and tried to jump right before we hit it. So the grill clipped its legs and the body came straight into the windshield. I was picking glass out of my hair and clothes for an hour.

Friend in Dallas hit a deer with his cruise set at 80 in a 528i. He never even hit the brakes. Ripped the hood back and partially off, and peeled the top of the car off. He got out with a headache from the airbag... It was week three with his new car.
