Me versus 03 S2000
First off I'd like to say this is a great forum and you guys are seem like mature posters. I am a S2000 fan and admire the engineering that went into the design of the powertrain and chassis. I am personally a Vw Corrado owner and I am pretty happy with it. There is a guy a friend of mine knows who owns a stock 03 S2000. He is trying to get me to to a roll race with him just for the heck of it. I know S2000's arent drag racers but I saw him hit a 77+mph trap speed in the eighth mile, that is strong, but I bet the car really shines in the 1/4 mile. Here are the specs on my car.
1990 Corrado 2053cc, T3/60 trim turbo, ABA block and head, ported head, aluminum custom short runner manifold, 15-17psi, 2 1/2" exhaust, lightened flywheel and stock transmission.
I run around a 81.5+mph trap speed in the 1/8th mile, car weighs around 2600lbs empty with no driver. I would like know how I stack up against you guys, stock or modified. Mostly on high speed pulls. Thanks for the input.

I'm also a former VW owner (two A1 GTI's and two 2nd gen GTI's, one 8V, one 16V). My former Techtonics Tuned A1 GTI using a 2020cc NA engine was good enough to hold 13.10 on street tires, and 12.76 on slicks. Enough about old history...
To be fair on a level where everyone can relate to, I'll say this much stock versus stock.
A stock S2000 isn't going to give off impressive 60 foot numbers being that it is tricky to launch effectively (IMO, it's actually easier to launch a FWD sometimes) however once it gets up to VTEC, it'll have no problem pulling on a G60 and will pull ahead beyond the eighth mile marker on a SLC. The S2000's gearing was designed to take advantage of the VTEC allowing it to pull strong all the way to 9k, where as (based on my own experience), the rev-hating VR6 is going to have problems keeping the S2000 at bay.
I have no clue what your mods will do (despite my best guess) but it's obviously more than a match for most S2000's, especially if they're NA, modded or otherwise. Since boosted cars gain more power from simple mods compared to NA cars, it's become the topic of Boost versus NA (which I don't like to compare).
Your setup appears impressive and once again, I have no idea what those mods amount to. If I were to use another example which I am familiar with first hand (a 1.8T with an APR chip) assuming drivers of equal skill should run neck and neck at least till 100mph (I haven't pushed beyond that). Add a boost controller, DP, exhaust, CAI and it's enough to take me out. I'd imagine you'd have no problems taking out the before mentioned 1.8T setups. Perhaps some of the SC'd guys could tell you a little bit regarding boosted S2k's. There's one that's recently completed it's quest into the 500whp range.

I really want to race a stock 03 Mustang GT, seems like those guys have HUGE egos that need to toned down. Other cars on my list are: Lt1 f-bodies, Wrx's, 300zx TT(stock), 5.0l Stangs, SC Grand Prix's, Lexus sc400's, Cocky 1.8t and Vr6 owners, and so on. I really don't want any damn tickets, but If get another ricer stare or flybye it's gonna FULL BOOST time!
hahaha........lol. You guys know what I'm talking about. It's funny seeing a ricer rapidly fade away in the rear view mirror. Their not so cocky anymore and the look on their face is priceless!!!!
