I did some friendly rolls with a cool Evo driver last week. A silver one with body kit and huge intercooler pulled up behind me in traffic and once it cleared he gets next to me, paces, and guns it. I didn't downshift in time and wasn't paying too much attention, so I catch up to him and keep it in 2nd gear around 5700-5800 RPMS. I look over and we wave, and he tells me to gun it. I punch, and he does a 1/2 second later. I pulled 5-6 feet on him and it stayed that way through 2nd gear. We shifted into third and he caught up, and by the end of third gear my car just lost steam (I hate my 00 ECU ). He was probably 2 cars ahead of me by 4th gear, and we shut down as we approached a light.

We talked briefly and complimented one another's cars, and he said he's running 20 pounds. He had a really nice ride, wheels, brakes, exhaust, the whole she-bang. He said he was surprised, that he normally demolishes S2000s, and then noted that my exhaust was crazy loud and I said thank you I know from a dig it would have been worse but it was fun.

This summer I'll be getting either a Vortech or gears/fuel management so hopefully I'll run into him again
