Oh, it was sure not an LS1 powered monster. Like I said.... older. late 80's early early 90's maybe?

And yes, me and glen have much gone back and forth. He has beaten me to submission like the little girl that I am! lol. j/k.

speaking of vettes...i got MURDERED by a 1999 c5 today. besides his obvious advantage, we also only got to run up a pretty steep incline...I have raced c5s in the past and lost, but never by this margin...it looked stock (no aftermarket exhaust), but man did he ever murder me up that hill...my speeds were approaching 125-130mph, and he continued to walk...i now have even more respect for the c5.

I wasnt referring to a C5, but rather an american muscle car with 300-320hp should be around dead even with a 240hp S2000. That sound far fetched to you?

Lets see here.....
-------------------------------------
1. Weight is definately an issue when it comes to speed.
a. An average muscle car weighs in at 3400lbs.
2. Powerband is also an issue
b. S2000 are able to keep in powerband for longer because of their high redline.

I dont see why it is not possible for the cars to be relatively close in speed.

Yeah, in all honesty, against a stick F-body LS1.... The S2000 has no chance from a roll... and a small chance from a stop. Depends on who's driving. However, I have not had an AUTO LS1 pull on me yet. I've raced 2. One from a stop, one from a roll. The one from a roll we stayed even. (he started to pull just slightly as we let off at about 110mph) From a stop it was dead even from 0-100mph with an auto WS6. So stick, really no chance. Auto there is a better chance. And though an auto LS1 may not pull on you, they will still get the holeshot if they can launch properly.

Forget the intake. S2k with JDM sidemarkers vs viper is a very even race. That's a gauranteed close race!!!!!!
