Misinformation
Yes yes, I know this is an S2000 board. I am posting as a Honda enthusiast. Wanted to set the record straight here.
Stock K20Z1: Most dyno 175-180 whp stock. I hit 179 whp in stock form. The high 160's and low 170's is reserved for the K20A2.
I/H/E K20Z1 (by H I mean a full race header): most are in the 195-200 whp range; however, there are still plenty in the 200+whp range.
There is a thread on clubrsx.com right now for 200+whp K20Z1's

Here is the list so far. Definitely possible to hit 200 whp with just I/H/E
I noticed many of you were doubting the whp numbers in both stock and bolt on form. This will hopefully set the record straight. To answer the guy's question regarding the AP2 vs K20Z1; if you race an 05 Type S with I/H/E it will be a very close race. I would still give the ever so slight edge to the AP2, but it isn't much of an edge (from a roll).
From a dig you should be able to take him. But again, some of you were making comments along the lines of "you will walk all over him." That is nothing but pure ignorance.
Bottom line... 200 whp+Type R final drive=driver's race with an AP2.
Oh, and one more thing. The new Si is not making more power than the K20Z1. It weights more and has less output. The article found on vtec.net states they were unable to break 7 seconds in 0-60 with the K20Z3 (new Si). They simply couldn't do it. Point is, it is all speculation until the car actually is seen on the streets. Then we will see which is faster.
Sorry, not one more thing. Whoever said the RSX Type S is the same performance as a Prelude. That is also an ignorant comment. The Type S will pull on the prelude in stock form.
And just to clariy... I love the S2000, so please don't think I am being biased because I own my prelude-like RSX.
