The GS430 traps at 95-98, whereas S2000 is 99-102, real times not the best time some pro driver got after 50 passes.
The LS460 is rated at 5.4 0-60 and 13.9 1/4 mile. This is from Lexus using "prototype vehicles and professional drivers". Real world results are more like 5.8 0-60. Even if the best trap will be 103, the best trap speed for an S2000 is like 102.5, so in a street race it could go either way.

By the way since a 1/4 mile race only allows you 1/4 mile to achieve a trap speed, launch and power down low have a big effect on trap speed. Better launch almost always equals better trap speed.
This is not true because if someone was to get a late jump or maybe if the turbo or vtec takes a sec to kick in then the other car can pass the line first with a lower trap speed.

I think both made good points, but it wasnt necessary to take it to a personal level. Makes you lose all credibilty. After all....

On the street, and from a dig, the GS430 and S2000 are very evenly matched, both producing low 14-second

Um no, you missed the point. A better trap almost always equals a better 1/4 time. A poor trap almost always equals a poor 1/4 time.

Reaction time, different cars (and all the variables), and the elapsed time from the start light to the finish line can't be included when considering if your trap time normally will affect your 1/4 time.

Take the same car, same driver, same track, same night. A better trap time will almost always equal a better 1/4 time, guaranteed.

seems to me like kumainu is the only one who knows wtf he is talking about. Some of you are completely delusional about the abilities of the S2000.
These little tards always think their near-stock S2000s could "hang" or beat much faster cars. I'm not saying IS350 and GS450 are much faster (although they are slightly faster), but it's not way off to think that these tards think they could "hang" with C5 Vettes and faster cars.

Blah, blah! Go back to your Civic hatchback! You know not what the hell you're talking about.

Ask racers, look at stats, this one is not hard to understand.

Try to be at least a little open-minded, you might learn something.

Don't argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

your lack of maturity has nullified any and all points you are trying to make.

there is no such thing as 'slowly walking' somebody. you either walk them or you don't.
I'll start off by saying that this is my very first post on this forum and that makes me a total newb! I felt the need to throw my 2 cents in on this conversation...
I just bought my 03 ap1 last week. I have not yet found anyone to race me and I do not know what my car can beat other than what I read in these forums. I come to these forums for factual-based info. Kumainu's posts show his mental age and do nullify any points he is trying to make. If you want to have a heated discussion.. do it with respect (no need for name calling), and have actual facts to back up your claims. I know, (speaking for myself), if you talked to me like that face to face, the conversation would be over and we would start a new conversation that didn't involve talking.
