of course we will have someone with an R6 that will show one going to 17,600...
Hmmm, i'd have to say even in a race where a stock AP1 would run against a stock AP2 with the same variables the stock AP2 is gonna take it just cause the torque advantage. I can't see a AP1 beating an AP2 unless a gear is missed. The AP2 should have no problem catching the AP1 in the lower gears. The AP1 seems to take the advantage around 3rd and 4th gear if it takes the lead at all. By then the quarter is pretty much over.

race him from a roll next time and you'll eliminate driver error off the line (and tire wear shouldnt be much of a problem either)
rolling @ 45 mph would be a perfect place to start.

Note: he was bone stock and I have I/E, but we know what kind of "gains" they give

i have raced a couple of AP1s. 03 and 01.
Both times i took the advantage with my04 of at least 1.5 cars or more up past 100mph from a 45mph start. My car would pull instantly and walk away through the race regardless if we started @ 20, 45 or 65 mph.
my 04 is totally stock.
01 was i/e and the 03 had a test pipe.

the only car board where 8krpm is considered "low"
9krpm FTW!

Tell the AP1 driver to shift @ 8400 max (he will peak @ 8300 anyway)....anything more and he will start to lose power.
No matter who wins or loses....still good stuff though!
