Default My Second Kill

Well coming coming off of 95 North I noticed a Blue Corvette C3 with 427 Hood and he followed me to Route 1 Bel Air bypass. We came to a light with traffic in front and I gave him the we talked and he told be it was a numbers matching 1968, 427 Tripower and it was stunning, he also described my car a much more comfortable than his. As we continue onto the bypass he flys by me to impress with the big block under the hood As we approached the next light it turns red but I am behind him. He takes off with wheels spinning, so I try to feather the gas but I am loosing traction and starting to go sideways. He is still pulling away but I finally hook up and pass him like he is on a sunday drive with the Corvette Club I felt kinda bad, because Corvettes are my first love with cars and as a kid I rode in a 1969, 427 convertible and dreamed about owning one some day.

Well, I have owned seven vettes including a C5 Z06 and I still have a C4 ZR-1 which sits above my S2000 on a rack.

In ending, he came up next to me and was turning at a light, I waved and he just said, "What is that"? I looked and said, "Its a four cylinder". He smiled and I just thought , I just killed my Icon"

Damn! That's a big engine!

What kind of power does your S2000 have?

Another member of the 400 rwhp club.

The sad part is the Corvette guy still believes torque wins races.

Uh, it did. He was in his S2000, per the "4 cylinders" comment. If his Corvettes (Z06 and ZR1) are still stock, his S2K is easily the fastest of the 3.

A little off topic but still relevent. Some corvette guys going off on my S about not having torque.

[ They shutdown both threads about S2000s ]

My favorite (said in jest): That thing must rotate the earth!

Have they confused pulling a loaded trailer with racing?
