gotta love Audi's stunning reliability history and strong resale value!

RS4=a great motor with a junk car around it.
I don't know... the "junk" interior is pretty niiiiiice....

And reliability is probably better than my modded Honda.

Besides, I don't think many people buying $70k cars care that much about resale value.... I'm speculating that the depreciation hit E46 M3 verts will take when the 335 hardtop vert comes out will be horrific... you win some, you lose some.

I don't think there are many cross shoppers of RS4s / C6 Z06s. At least people who have a purpose for the capabilities at hand.

I think the following is a better comparo:

WRX Sti = $33k. Whole crapload of mods = $30k.
Faster than an RS4, still cheaper.

But still probably not much cross shopping there.

The point is refined stealth, not brute force and in-your-face performance.

Not knocking the latter, but not what some of us want in a daily driver.

And do they even make snow tires wide enough to fit the Z06?

My friend just got a RS4. I love the sound of the exhaust, and great interior too

Hmmm that might be an interesting experiment.

I love the RS4 (I'm an Audi fan), but at the track it's hard to beat a well setup S2000. For every day driving, RS4 hands down.

Unofficial Top Gear Stig lap with the RS4 was 1.25... same as the Noble and 0.00.1 faster than an Exige S (supercharged).

Modded S2k > RS4 > stock S2k for driving fun, IMHO.
