As a reply to your latest update, I really wouldn't just swap jets without having the car on a dyno and connected to a laptop to see what it's really doing.. I'd rather run it a little rich than run it too lean.. Plus most of my friends that have nitrous are tuned a little rich in the higher rpm (redline area) just incase they misshift or over hit the limiter.. For safety

Thats what I did, it's the safest route, with nitrous you definitely want to run rich

yeah, running lean or getting more nitrous than fuel is always a bad thing..

a friend of mine blew his LS1 like that on a 175 shot, the nitrous cracked number 7 piston and scared the block.. motor was trahsed.. (not enough fuel made it to the back cylinders)

Still debating on what Im gonna do. Im most definitely gonna be getting a tune sometime soon. Right now my AFRs on the 75 shot are maxing out around 10.3, the AEM wideband only reads as rich as 10.0 even if its richer than that, and most of the time the wideband shows 10.0 on spray, so its probably in the 9s somewhere. My goal is to have it reading in the 11s all the way through the power band. Still safe and also making good power

You should be fine at that A/F ratio, good luck

GTI's dont have testpipes. Just a catless downpipe. Did he have a tune?
I pulled a GTI w/ Revo stage 1/catless downpipe/catback exhaust so it was like a stage 2 pretty much.
Good runs btw !

10.0-10.3 is not a little rich, the limiter is there for a reason to stop you from damaging the motor so unless you are bouncing it for about 4 or more seconds ( you'd notice what your doing instantly by the way and let off ) and aren't going to damage anything tune or not

I don't recall LS1 being the same car as an s2000 either nor are we talking about a 175 shot...and clearly that LS1 guy was NOT running a direct port setup or didn't have the needed fuel system to handle that high shot otherwise he wouldn't of not got fuel to those select cylinders

@Liquid - do what I told you to get it in the mid 11's that safe enough trust me

The engine type wasn't the point.. Someone of your intelligence should understand the "example"..

More nitrous than fuel in an extreme amount = kaboom!! Just saying..
