i will have a turbo in my s in the spring. there is this kid on campus with me who will not stop talking shit about his BROTHERS mach1 mustang. and how it would shit all over me straight line launch or roll or even on a windy road. if i put in a turbo boosted 8 psi cuse i dont want to lower compresion just yet hehe..... would i be able to take him on a curvy road cuse thats really all i care about but a straight line would be nice just so i can shove it in his face.

With out a turbo you will lose, with a turbo gt35 a full race mani and 10psi you will have a bad ass car.

Well I have raced a mach1 with intake and exhaust and walked him bad on the interstate. He ran 13's at 103 at the track. With 9-10psi on my Greddy kit, I put down 300rwhp and 13.5@104 at the track. Whatever you do, dont waste your money on the greddy kit unless you have to have carb certification. If only Pfab would have had their kit out before I placed my order for the Greddy that would have been my choice.

What year Mach 1? Older Mach 1's have a 351 Windsor (Or was it Cleavlend) and can be very fast. If it is stock new or old you won't have a problem with any FI. He will probably take you out of the hole. With all other things being equal there is no replacement for displacement there.

The Greddy kit has great drivablity, just remember the bigger the turbo the more time it will take to spool and make peak boost. Inline, PFab and others make great kits but there is a downside.

I think even wid the greddy turbo, as long as u have it tuned properly it should do okay. I held even wid an srt8 charger wid my old greddy kit base tune. But imo get an inline pro turbo kit, with a 3mm hg and a mase tune, and u'll anal rape that mach1.

Who cares about this guy's brother's Mach 1? If you are going to spend 5-10 grand on turbocharging your car, do it for the right reasons, not for penis measuring.

How old are you? 16?

Greddy doesn't give you the power of pfab or inline pro, but look around and you can find one for half the price of either of those kits, and it comes complete with fuel and engine management. 300whp with a 70mm cat back and test pipe is what you can expect with a good tune and that will definately hang with any stock mustang straight line, if not beat them and walk his ass in twisties.

That old addage is true though, once you go FI, you are never happy with your power. I will try to max out this kit early next year, drive it through the year, then start looking for a bigger kit, but hopefully by then a turbo/downpipe upgrade will be available for the Greddy kit that may give the kit another 75 horsepower without changing anything but the turbo, downpipe and fuel injectors.
