I'm sorry, my friend owns a Mach1 and I've raced it plenty.... My other friend owns a Terminator (04 cobra).

The Mach1 is a Mustang GT that has a Solid rear axle and it's main usage is for DRAG RACE ONLY, the solid rear axle makes it horrible on any turns, this is a useless car in twisty roads. It benefits from lack of wheel hop which the Cobra suffers slightly from. It's only 300hp and it's heavy as hell..... A stock st2000 against a stock Mach 1 he'll pull you, but not even by all that much. In the corners, or under braking ITS A DAMN JOKE, the S2000 WILL DESTROY IT. I can beat my friend's Mach 1 without engaging Vtec in my turbo car.

The cobra does decent in corners and can hold it's own, and it'll torch the Mach 1 in a straight line as well.

If I was to go up in the canyon's I'd be confident in smoking a Mach 1 WITH A STOCK S2000 ON GOOD TIRES. I know from experience the Turbo isn't very useful in twisty roads, I hardly get into boost zone much, I can run to the limits of the tires for the most part without hardly going past Vtec.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: TIRES MATTER!!!! Make sure he's not running some super stickies and your running cheap crap, otherwise..... it's alllll about driver.

Ford Mustang Mach 1
Base Price : $28,510
Engine : V8, 305 hp, 320 lb-ft
0-60 mph : 5.35 sec. ................... S2000 does 5.4, so that's close.

Who cares about this guy's brother's Mach 1? If you are going to spend 5-10 grand on turbocharging your car, do it for the right reasons, not for penis measuring.

How old are you? 16?
Why spend so much money on tuning your car just to prove to your friend that your ride is faster than his brother's? Just say this to him next time he mentions his brother's car:
"WTF do you drive, dumbass?"

I say challenge him w/ your car bone stock.

Go find some twisties and do a practice run, BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!! Don't do this w/ traffic.

Then invite him to try to "loose you" on the run. He won't be able to. Case closed.

Best just to take him out to any track....he'll loose badly, especially on a tighter smaller track where his solid rear axle will make him hurt in the corners with any bumps.

****** I've also heard of 13.6-13.9's being possible, however I've yet to witness that kinda time myself. Is that w/ drag radials?

Either way the Mach1 has NOTHING on an S2000 really.

I think even wid the greddy turbo, as long as u have it tuned properly it should do okay. I held even wid an srt8 charger wid my old greddy kit base tune. But imo get an inline pro turbo kit, with a 3mm hg and a mase tune, and u'll anal rape that mach1.
its ok just gun it before they say go and when its a go ur alrdy at full boost lol
