Default NSX...

Not a kill story, but a while back when I had my LT1 TA I tried running an NSX, he refused and hid in traffic. Today I saw another NSX while riding in my friend's impala and we raped it from a roll...

But seriously, I saw that one today in his Impala and that encounter in my LT1 got me thinking. The guy seemed scared and I wonder to this day if he thought I had an LS1 like I now have. I am just curious if I could pull an NSX. I kinda doubt it but it should be very close as they only have 290hp but they ARE a bit lighter. What do the "new" 290hp NSX's run/trap? What about the 270hp ones from early/mid 90's?

I guess I could dig this up myself, but you guys can probably give me the rundown more accurately.

What year was the one that the impala beat?

The 05' Impala never beat anything that I know of while I was in it.

I believe the newer ones run about a 13 flat, maybe high 12's with batman behind the wheel. The older ones are typically mid to high 13's. They are not as quick as they look.

Any idea what they trap? Sounds like from a dig it would be a drivers race all the way with me vs. a new one. Wondering how I would do from a roll based on their trap.

Newer ones around ~110mph... I think the older ones are more like ~105.

The NSX's are better off the line than they are from a roll. The layout really helps smash those rear tires to get traction. Not exactly sure of the trapspeed, I'd guess 105ish?

I am getting conflicting answers...if they only run 13.0 but trap 110 then they SUCK! off the line...

Guess it's a drivers race with the newer ones with them having the edge and I have the edge with the older ones.

I always thought they were better from a roll than a dig. Those aren't torquey engines like say a LS1 and they rely on the VTEC pull on the topend for their power.
