Yeah I looked afer I posted. It also turns out that S2k's can be had for around $12k if you're willing to pick one up with 100k miles.

1. Because this isn't an EVO or STi board. However, since you brought it up, I'll conceed that the EVO is the quicker car when modded, but not by much...that is, when you can keep it running.

2. Is that so? Hmmm. 2 words: Ariel Atom

Research more, look like an idiot less.
you're right, i should trade in my CAR for a GO-KART

I don't particularly care for the whole $$$ v. power argument.
Of course you don't, it's reasonable, and reason isn't your strong suit.

Honestly, with regards to drag-racing, a motor-sport for which the S2000 wasn't intended, the S2K is a pretty good bang for the buck, coming in 4th on my list of 13-second cars.

1. EVO RS: $29,744 - 13.0-13.2 (though it's nearly impossible to find this car for this price)
2. STI: $32,550 - 13.0-13.3
3. GTO: $33,690 - 13.4-13.7
4. S2000: $33,465 - 13.8-14.1
5. Legacy GT: $34,620 - 13.7-13.9

My argument was simply that price is always a factor, otherwise you've got absolutely stupid comparisons going on, I mean, of course your Viper outran the SRT-4 you rolled up on the other night, you spent $70K on it.

Actually, a used STi to used S2K performance argument is a great one for several reasons; their MSRP's are quite close, they both hold their value very well so used prices are similar, and the STi wins every time .

An Evo RS goes for about 26K right now, they advertise in the paper at 25,999 here and tons of other places offer them at the same price

a IX GSR goes for under 30K as well

An EVO RS for $26K has to be one of the best performance buys on the planet.
