1. why not show a comparison between an evo with 1000 in mods vs an STi with 1000 bucks in mods and look at how the evo utterly destroys it

2. nothing is a better bang for the buck than a Z06, sorry
1. Because this isn't an EVO or STi board. However, since you brought it up, I'll conceed that the EVO is the quicker car when modded, but not by much...that is, when you can keep it running.

2. Is that so? Hmmm. 2 words: Ariel Atom

Research more, look like an idiot less.

I used to think you were just joking around everytime you posted about AP1's being weak(er), but the more I read the more it seems like you are serious. You DO realize that it's a 5-10whp difference(from an AP2) at best right?

version simply picked the best and simplest mods for the car. A single 70mm exhaust and an AFC are his only notable mods.

a Stock 06 STi is far from an "animal" best rap you can get out of a stock STi is a 103-104. and that is with GOD driving....

Version's car is not turbo, it has 2 bolt ons, but probably the 2 most important mods, a headerback exhaust and a mild tune.

When I had my 05 STi the best trap I could get was 102, my ET was 13.3. pretty good times considering I was stock and the first time ever at the track. I ahve seen dozens of Stock STi's in the high 13's to low 14's
Sorry, the car I drove was an 07 and yes, for a completely stock automobile I would classify the STI as a nasty little animal. Add chip/tune and forget it........

im gonna use STi-logic:

2002 s2k with 27k......$23,000

inline pro turbo kit.......$5,000.

GT35R upgrade.....$1,000.

dyno tune@ 10psi.................$500

so that gets me $29,500 and about 370rwhp and mid to low 11's. and i still have dough to spend on lunch before i've spent the money on a new STi. you can go round about with the numbers crap, but their will always be someone faster, some better. always.

used 04 sti can be had for roughly 24k

gt35r kit for 2,800

cobb ap( as example) 500

injectors 600 est

tune 500

29k and 400whp roughly

nice kill bro, wish my s2k with similiar mods pulled ur whp #'s

but its true, someone will always be faster, spend more money, less money dont matter, theres a dude on the boards with a camry with NOS that can take us all out and he spent even less money

S2k's can be found for much cheaper than $23k, $24k is a steal for a ~3 year old STI. I only mention it because one number is mid range and the other is bottom of the barrel. I don't particularly care for the whole $$$ v. power argument.
