oh snap!
i don't consider the evo or sti true sports car. 4 door sedan awd.... be it a nice sedan it is what it is.
and when did msrp come into play? whose talking about money vs. performance?
i appreciate all cars for what they are but i think people tend to exaggerate on here about the performance or their encounters on the street or strip.
my Z06 is putting down plenty of power to handle most cars i come acrossed. but i know there are tons of others out there that would destroy me. i know and accept this. thats just a realistic mind set.

2. Only an idiot would compare performance without comparing price, what's next, a grudge-race between a base neon and a Veyron? Money is always a factor.
3. Of course they do, and few of them post timeslips, though you'll see times posted in their sigs.
4. Indeed.

their awesome cars, with amazing performance. i love em. but sometimes(and the same is true with s2k owners) some get a little delusional and start to think that their car is gods gift to the streets, when in reality its a very nice car, but far from the ENZO peformance that the owner thinks it has.
The STi and EVO can be quite formidable on the streets (if driven correctly) because of their AWD platform, and ease of modability, but they're not unbeatable, and I never said they were.
Stop putting words in my mouth and actually read what I'm saying.
an sti used/new 25k-33k? or about that...
a 01-03 z06 25k-38k pending miles..... you can't compare msrp on a car that is 4 + model years old. i paid 29k for my z06. i bet you paid some what close or more than that for a sti.

I know several people with 1G DSM's that run 9's in the
my best friend owns a 86 944 porsche with less than 15k total including the car that runs 9's. whats your point? i'm not talking about super cars or who can build the fastest car for the cheapest....i didn't think comparing a used sti to a use z06 was that different...
i don't even know what my original point was any more..... i like the s2k , i appreciate the evo and sti for what they are , but they are not the fastest cars on the road like some people really want to believe. there always something faster.
s2k and sti roll races are a good race. its not a slaughtering either way. and if you beat the driver than great, last time i check you still needed a driver to operate the vehicle.

Hey guys, I could have kept up with that jet plane if I had those turbines, too.

2. No one is making them out to be the fastest things on the road.
3. Only if the STi driver is incompetent.
