don't lock.. old lady stories are funny.

There's a 45mph road near my house. Briefly it expands to 2 lanes to allow for turning right (not solely a turning lane though) at a light. I was stuck behind a white cavalier doing about 35 in the 45, so when the lane split, I got into the right lane, thinking I would pass the car and be able to go the speed limit. I looked over and saw it was an old lady, short gray curly hair and all. I never have a problem passing people at this light. I never get on it, but I generally take off faster than the average joe. So I took off moderately fast (no where near WOT), shited out of 1st at around 4.5k when I looked over and the old lady must have floored it because she went flying past me!! I was amazed.. of course she continued to drive under the speed limit, this time at at about 31mph in the 45 luckily I was making a turn shortly after, but I have my eye out for that street racing nanny.

Old people are crazy.

A few weeks back, I had a a 60-something Volvo driver (old volvo drivers. urrrgh! :shiver turn in front of me (I'm in Australia - I was turning left, and he cut in front of me. I had right of way). I locked up and honked him. He honked me back in return.

Since we're now going in the same direction, I decided I'd have a word with him at the next lights. At the lights, I'm turning left again, and he's going straight. We both wind down our windows and he starts slagging me off. Said I was driving irresponsibly, and that he was following me for the last 2 km's (which was impossible because A) I was coming from the other direction, and B) because I had just pulled out of my driveway).

He then decided to sledge me for being a yuppy and driving a yuppy mobile. I proceeded to tell him that I'll prolly see his slutty daughter out clubbing tonight and that I'll drop her home later.

Light turns green, and he decides to chase me for that last remark. Vtec-ed out of there and lost him.

But yeah... those old people are CRAZY!!!!
