I thought Preludes were faster. Both on the hwy, about 60mph. He was infront of me, downshifted and took off. I caught up....easily. Then, both from 65... I took off, and by 5th, had him by a couple of car lengths. Aren't Preludes faster than that?
We talked briefly at the light (nice kid)... he has exhaust and intake.
Me, I have exhaust/intake/4.77.

Preludes were a great car. Especially the last generation and they are fast but not when you compare it to the S2000. That is an unfair comparison. 40 horses is a significant difference and highway speeds are where the S2000 shines brightest. My best friend had a 2000 Prelude before getting his S2000 and I loved to drive that car. VTEC was so dramatic in the Prelude. Try comparing the Prelude to the Civic Si and Integra Type-R and GSR and you have a fair match.

Just so everyone knows, I wasn't picking on the guy. He initiated the run... I just he would have given more of a run.

 

What did I miss something? I thought the ITR beats the lude.

 

The ITR is marginally faster than the Lude. But its always a drivers race between two cars like that.

2 car lengths isn't too bad. My roommate owns a Celica GT-S w/ intake/exhaust/AFC and i used to take him by about that much.

 

no way s2000 can't beat no prelude
prelude has way more horse power u guys like coming to this site and lying
s2000 is just slow but looks nice
