I have seen S2K's get respect there man. One member talked quite a bit about his. Was never a jackass about it and noone was a jackass to him either. Hell, he entertained me with tales of kill 99-04 GT's all the time. I loved it. I think it highly amusing that the little 4-banger whoops up on the 4.6's in the hands of a good driver.
