The problem with this forum --!
LSx's MPG depends very heavily on how you drive it. It's very easy to get great MPG on the freeway if you're taking it easy. It's the city driving that kills the MPG. When my Z06 was stock I could get 30mpg if I'm just cruising along at 70mph, but in the city without the annoying skip-shift I was only getting about 15mpg if I'm driving normal. Any type of spirited driving and the MPG goes to shiet, I'll be happy if I get 10mpg. But I guess that's the case with any cars. Right now, my Z gets about 12mpg city 23 hwy if I take it easy.

with a 4.10 rear end.
Yes it depends on how you beat on it. It is a common fact that 1/2# of fuel is required to make 1hp per hour. If you have 300rwhp, thats a lot more fuel than 200whp. Just physics there.

4.10's drop M6 LS1 mpg by about 1-2 at the most.

And another variable to add to that is the a/f ratio that that power is being made with. Are these numbers assuming the car is running at stoich?
Holy shit this forum has gone to hell.
J_inDA_s2k, you are a moron. If you think you are fooling anyone, you must be out of your mind. Not only that, but the need for you to lie over the internet? Sad, insecure little boy.
I don't see a problem with anything that N/Apower is posting. Seems like a genuine enthusiast to me.
vegas is a moron, we all know that. No one calls him out on it because it's been done in the past millions of time, but he is relentless. So we just ignore it for the most part.
Sorry, man. Not happening.
Finally, no, the S2000 is not a drag car. But so what? It's still a high 13 second car and that's nothing to sneeze at.

I told him that if he got in an SLK 55 AMG to call me, as I wanted to take a test drive. He did, and I did, and the car had much more low end "grunt" than my s2k. But above 50 mph in acceleration, I think the s2k would have walked away.

I have ridden in an SLK55AMG. The V8 7-speed auto. It was a damn beast. No way is any stock S2K going to waltz by it at over 50. No way an S2K is going to do ANYTHING with that car in a striaght line. PERIOD. Hell, my WS6 would not even come close to getting ahead of it (until 156+ where it smacked the limiter, lol).
