Default Pulled a T/A tonight......

Going down the turnpike, around 11:00pm...I see pop-up lights in the rear and i'm thinkin "vette"...turns out to be a Trans-Am...LS1 or LT1, I don't know....

He blows by me and i'm doing about 65 or so...then he slows down and i hear his loud exhaust crackling...we get even and he starts lunging at me, so i said "ah, what the hell...i got some room left in 2nd gear..."

I downshift and he hears it...so we take off. Immediate VTEC and I pull about a car on him until i had to shift and he pulled back a little. Then in third i just walked him...by the end of third I had almost 3 1/2 cars on him.

I gave up on third...he kept going and bam...FHP.

Yay. Brains over Muscle

SoFla drives an NSX, but probably a 3.0L, not the faster 3.2L. Any mods on it? With mods, you could take an LS1 like that. Without mods, it probably was an LT1.

intake, exhaust, ultralight flywheel, some suspension work and i've stripped about as much as i can out of the car...

next mod is headers, some new gears and a body kit....

not sure if it was an LT1 or an LS1, but i've raced an LS1 before and i pulled about 2 cars on him from a 20mph roll up to 100mph...from a dig, he probably would have had me.

It probably was an LT1 though cuz i pulled harder on this guy than the the LS1

My friend with a C32 NSX was pretty close with a LS1 TA, but started to pull on the TA when it got into the higher speeds.

ya, the NSX, whether its a c30a or a c32a is the superior car stock for stock once you hit speeds. Those things just have WAY too much torque to take off the line!! They're friggen SICK from a dig! But my run with the LS1 was from a 20mph, which put me in a niiiice powerband.

I have a c30, but its got a little bit done to it...some bolt-ons. I'm just waiting for the turbo set up over at cybernation

oh, last night, i raced a saleen down 595....the first run i walked him, but i got the jump and downshifted to 2nd (55mph)...the next run, he got hte jump at i only downshifted to third and he slowly walked me (i whole heartedly believe if i put her into 2nd i woulda reeled him rigth back in). Then on 75, i was afraid to race because I don't have the best front tires and on I 75 I would have raced him to like 130 or so.
