Used to be for muscle cars they would turn on the reverse lights while cruising. It meant they were looking for a race. I used to do that in my 68 Roadrunner. I had a toggle switch under the dash that would turn the reverse lights on without having to throw the shifter in reverse. Nowadays, they usually just pull up next to you and either gun the engine or start lunging forward a couple of times.
