Default Raced a 2006 Mustang GT

Ok so I'm on my way to this 11am lunch when I see this nice candy apple red mustang GT, I catch up to him on a roll and stay in third gear at about 60 just in case he jumps. Well he never takes the bait so I speed up a little to let him know I want to run. Well he still doesen't take the bait, then this car pulls out in front of me and THEN he jumps.

So I catch back up to the mustang at the light and roll down my window and ask"why did you jump when the car was in front of me" he smiles and said "yea I kinda cheated,"OK now the crazy part, I get behind the guy and notice his license plate was a FOP(fraternal order of police) tag

I catch back up to him and honk the horn, when he rolls down the window, I'm like dude, you're a cop, and he smiles and says "yea". I roll my eyes, thank him for being so cool and he veered right.

Now that was a cool cop, even though he was in a mustang.

That was probably why he did not want to race in the first place! Still a cool ass cop though

Let me start by saying **** the police. Bunch of criminals... I have run a few new mustangs and slowly walked them. It's close until about 60mph. Then AWalkie walkie walkie. I could see one giving a stock s trouble though. Was he wearing immitation oakleys with a crew cut and one of those little Hitler looking cop mustaches?

You start walking them at 60 mph? With their displacement I would think the opposite. Closer race the slower you are going ,with the GT starting to walk the S up top.

Interesting...

Yes, three times and same result. They stay close throuch 3rd then at the top of third and through 4th is when I would pull. I never race past about 90 though. Two of these were strait pulls on flat dry clear road. I did not launch at 100% though. 457s really help out 4th gear it feels like.

Amen brotha!! I had a cop from the neighbor hood that drove a cherry stang, real cock too... one day tried to provoke me into racing and at the light he asked me why i didnt bite, was i scared? Then i simple replied, i dont race cops, i dont want to contribute to your promotions, is this how you guys move up in rank, provokinh citizens into illegal and dangerous street races then booking them??

Maybe it's a good thing you hit the rev-limiter and lost cause then he would have been mad and really have sent you a ticket in the mail... lol.
