Raced an acquaintance's Boxster!!!
1st Race: from a roll, I blew its doors off 
2nd Race: from a stop, I didn't launch (i never have, never will), I just took off from a stop in 1st normally, he launched. He beat me down the road
I was catching up to him bit by bit before we shut er down.
This is a base Boxster. (not an S)

What speed di you start at and what speed did you run to?

Again, what speed did you run to? If you kept it bellow 60mph then even with the 'launch' it would be still pretty close.
