Did a 3rd gear pull and by the end of the 4th gear, I was 1-2 car ahead. My03 w/ berk HFC and Invidia exhaust not to mention 170,000 miles on the ODO

yes I"M PRETTY SURE he was racing. If I had to guess I would say it wan an auto. But it looked heavily modded from the sound and looks of it. I mean he chased me down for a good minute before I lined up with him.

 

BS. I had a 2006 S2000 modded the same and own a 2009 4 door g37 as well. The G pulls every time, no matter where we start.

 

^^ maybe you should learn how to drive the s2000 before modding the crap out of it?

 

How do you know if it was modded if you dont even know if it was an auto? The factory exhausts on those cars are pretty throaty as stock.

I came from a fully bolted Tuned 2007 mazdaspeed 6..

I spanked stock evo's and sti's all day with my factory k04 turbo...
My STOCK s2k pulls hard and only loses to my friends bolted mazdaspeed 3 by about a car and a half..


some of you guys are lost on the s2k and what it can do being a 2800 pound car.

 

Yes, we are baffled because a stock/modded G37 should beat an S2k all day long. And if its an autobox, there is no driver skill on the G37's part.

And some of us have been around an s2k longer than ONE MONTH so we have a pretty good idea what the car can and CANNOT do. And some of us (including myself) have owned both cars so we can pretty definitively say that the S2k is NOT faster than the G37..

 

yes i am baffled in my 8 years of ownership of my car and how it cannot win to these cars but once the cars get to 200k miles they become 800 hp beasts that flood onto the forums spanking M3s and G37s all day long. This also isnt a mazda speed this car DOESNT respond well to bolt ons like other cars to since it is almost maxed from the factory. So a HFC and exhaust that gives a whopping 3whp isnt going to pull a g37
