For those who don't know I have a 2000 Civic Si with I/H/E.

I ran him three times, from a 20-90mph roll. The worst I lost was by 2 cars and he never pulled on me in first and second gear. Only third and fourth.

I'm beginning to think the S2000's straight line speed is overrated.

If you run a 15.04, then the S2000 driver just doesn't know what he's doing if he beats you by only 2 car lengths. Also, 20 mph isn't a good speed to start at for an S2000 because it's only around 4k rpms.

 

yea, 20 mph is a real bad start. You should try running him at 45mph.

Also why not from a deadstop?

 

i keep hearing a blow off valve

 

hehhe.. there is a black SI in dallas the guy claims just I/H/E.. yet there is definately a blow off valve.. most i can get him by is 2 cars.. out of the several times i've raced him. i know its turbo or superchargered cause i've raced other ones that had similar performace running 5-6lbs of boost.. but that of is definately the strongest SI i've encountered.

 

That is definitely not a lightly modded si, I could beat one with my 5th gen lude with intake and exhaust. apples to apples. but my s2000 has killed si's on the street and especially on the track. I passed one at putnam park race course down the straight and from a 50mph exit speed to a top of 117 mph I had him by several car lengths. Anyways I own a 93 hb with b18c1 that will also run if not beat my s, but there is no comparison.
