I don't get this thread. Why would anyone buy an S2000 to go up through the gears in a straight line? That's absurd. The car's built for winding roads, accelerating, braking, cornering, going up and down through the gears, feeling the response of the chassis, engine and transmission, feeling the wind in your hair along with it. I couldn't give a flying **** what is faster in a straight line. It's just sad that someone seems to think that's the point.
This has been a long line of crap! If I were in your neck of the woods, I'll race you at the nearest track, road or drag and I only road race usually. I would just want to show you if the car is driven to it's true potential, the SI has no chance. But get this, I had an SI and there is not way you will be two lengths behind.
Go to a local track and race someone with hard driving skills. I'm sure you'll change that statement
