Default Ran with a camaro

Last night going home about 11:30 and I saw this red camaro with chrome factory wheels next to me. It was around the 2000 + or - a couple of years body style.

I looked over and he jumped. I was already ahead doing 77 so I hit it. I look over and I have a nose lead on him the whole time thru 4th. I think he may have been slowly catching up.

If it was a 2000 even plus or minus it was a LS-1. Sounds like you had a good run! LS-1's are really strong up top. Also they accept mods really well. Simple bolt ons can net you anywhere from 25-40rwhp. Sounds like you ran up against a LS-1 ragged out a little bit maybe. I just bought a LS-1 GTO and it pulls alot harder up top than the S did.

Im wondering if it was an older lt1 because if you dont know them and it was dark they could easily be confused. An ls1 will pull hard up top on a relatively stock s2k. My buddy runs 12.20-12.40 in his 99 camaro ss and his only mods are headers, full 3" exhaust, and mass air intake system.

those things really aren't any joke. i'm not digging the 'plastic car' but you've got to respect its engine.

oh I see. Gm did a better job on the interior of the GTO in my opinion. They have a nice combination of leather and suede. I am very please with it so far

Wouldnt have matter if it was an ls1, however its always important to drop it in the right gear.
