A rare biker kill
I'm new to the website so this is my first post.
Like most Sunday mornings (favorite time to become one with my s2k) I was out communing with the local roads. Sun shining above, @ 60 degrees LIFE IS GOOD. The local Harley-Davidson dealer was having their annual "Bike Blessing" (I guess they need all the help they can get). This usually draws a large number of bikers so I thought I would cruise by for a look. As I drove past the dealer there were (5) riders aboard Buells (Harley's crotch rocket division) that pulled out behind me. All were decked out in full "go fast" leathers and helmets. The road is four lanes with a traffic light just ahead. I'm in the right lane with the left clear so I slow down hoping to catch a red light. At the time I was only interested in getting a closer look at their bikes. They pulled up with lead rider next to me and other four behind him. His bike was all black with carbon fiber add-ons. nice looking. Mods. were header and K&N air filter. Now I do not make a habit of looking for a race and certainly not against motorcycles, but I thought "what the hell" if this guy goes what have I got to lose. Light turns green and as we pull away together for a moment he starts out slow then jumps on it. LOUD HEADER!!!!!!! he immediately pulls about a bike length on me. As I am still in 1st gear I follow his lead and VTEC is right now! I gain about 1/2 the bike length back and he is at my front bumper. As his bike is LOUD and my top is down I hear every one of his shifts which are coming sooner than mine (9000 rpm BLISS). As I hit second gear and now third he is still on my front bumber. At this point I'm already considering this a victory. I am now deep into 3rd and he is probably thinking WTF. The pressure of losing was all on him and as he attempted to make his next shift I heard the tell tale sound of a blown shift. I shot past like he was standing still. I spent the rest of the day with a smile and he probably explaining to his buddies who saw the entire race from behind why he lost. I can already hear the excuses!!!!!!!!!! FYI my s2 is an 00' with @ 3,700 mi. performance mods are AEM CAI and Fujitsibu exhaust.

nice bro. LOL. i had the same thing happen to me ill tell ya how it went. i was leaving the street races, and these guys were leavin also, on a few older mounts. one looked to be an older fzr 600, and maybe an old kawi bike. well i would never race a bike, cause its a lame idea, but fun, and i have ended up doing it more times than i can count.
so we pull up at the light, and they are chilliin and so am i, well light turns green (mind you were are right at the spot where everyone meets) we roll out and i stay in first (this was when i had my AP1) he looks over and nods, so i think its on, well he messed up in that he wasted time, pulling the bike up into a wheely, well as soon as he pulled the clutch in i stood on VTEC, and he nailed a nice wheely, and was grabbin gears like a mad man, and couldnt pull me at all, so we ripped by the street racers, me nailin 9k ,and him shiftin through 4 gears till we hit 100mph. it was sooo funny, everyone thought i was squeezin, turboed, you name it, they were afraid of my car from that day on.
bike kills are fun as hell, the dudes give props every time. later dave

Yes you read correctly, my 00' has only 3700 mi. I purchased it last Nov. with 2750 mi on it. The guy I bought it from was going thru a divorce and only drove it rarely on the weekends. Never seen rain, stored in winters and totally pristine condition. When I purchased, it spent the winter in my garage. Only started driving end of April on weekends and have already put over 1000 mi. on. In addition the car already had the following mods: 18" SSR Type C wheels w/potenza S03s, Honda factory body kit, AEM CAI, custom grill, Honda titanium shift knob, strut cross brace. I have since added Fujitsibo exhaust, Power Slot rotors, Red G2 caliper paint w/s2000 white logos. Car is Silverstone w/red interior. I have owned many cars and motorcycles thru the years and I must say the S2 is the most fun and entertaining to drive. I am always suprised at the attention and favorable comments the car receives wherever I go. Just adds to the fun factor.
