Hey guys, I was driving down Loop 360 in Austin the other night with the top down and got rolled up to by a boxter no "S". I noticed some HIDs in the rearview and got exited. He was right on my ass, tailgating me like hell, coming out of a light doing about 40mph.

I didn't know what the hell he was driving yet so I dropped in 2nd and laid some exhaust on his hood. I rounded 4th and looked up and he was about 4 cars back. We went from a roll next at 50 and to 110 I had 4 lengths. The final race he started well in front of me from a stop and to 110 I had about 6 lengths. His top was down and he had a passenger.

The guys were cool, they gave me four thumbs up when they passed. We came to a light and I asked him if he had enough and the driver said "man that thing is beautiful". Nice guys. I will beat up on a boxter any chance I get only because it is a porsche that I can roast. Ha!

At a wedding last summer me and an old friend switched rides...he got in my 03 S and i got in his 04 non-S boxster. we ripped up some backroads and i was having troubles keeping up. it was fun though!

 

do the new boxters have HID's? I've yet to see a boxter with them.

just looked it up. it's an option on the new ones, but what about the previous models?
