RX-7 encounter on freeway
This would be an RX-7 of the "last" generation. I'm not the freeway racing sort, but he seemed really eager to have a go. We got in a good go from about 70-100-ish and it was about as even a contest as you could have asked ask for. I started pulling ahead (less than a car length) as I wound out third, but when I shifted to fourth he started catching up. Traffic forced me to break off at a little over 100.
Those cars are so rare to see on the street (around these parts, anyway) that I wasn't aware of who should be favored. Got home and a quick Google search showed he should have an edge. He matched my speed alongside me again but traffic never allowed another go.
Anyway, inconclusive contest, but a very nice and even matchup, it seemed (my '02 is bone stock).
