On they way back from a dyno day we just had.....even though i knew i would eat it, decide to have some fun with a buddy's stage 2 sti.....on dyno jet the sti stats were..... 287rwhp and around 300 tq can't remember. my stats were 205rwhp and 140tq with exhaust and intake.

Anyway.......he pretty much pulled on me right from the get go but didn't pull as hard until 3rd gear. Second run I was in 2nd and well in vtec rev matched and took off (sort of cheated lol) but i didn't take him by suprise.. so soon he stopped my pull but didn't pass me till 4th. The shop said he was running rich and needed a tune. Plus I could smell that he was rich.

Just a question...is your friend a competent driver? A stock STi would do that to you, a stage 2 STi would murder you on a roll with 205 at the wheels.

My first AP2 was putting 220 at the wheels down and I was walked hard by a stage 2 STi, it was my best buds car. I was within a 1/2 car distance from a roll on him when he was stock.

When I was stock I raced a almost stock sti from a 20 roll and we were even until about 100.

 

calm down man............. he was really running rich. And you should stick pretty close to a stock sti.
