I was going about 50 while heading to bestbuy. An A8 was behind me. He was tailing me first then he switched lanes and flys pass me and gets infront of me. I was like "hell no". I was not sure how fast the A* was, all I know was it was a heavy car. Got next to him at the light. He rev then we go. he got a small jump on me. he was looking at rear bumper by 70. I shut down because of traffic.

The S8 will not toast the S2000 in any sort of race. The S2000 will pull on the S8 in a straight-line. Not by much, but it will.

 

S8 will not toast S2k on straighline. Their performance numbers are close enough to come down to driver. With a slight edge to the S2k if both drivers had the same skill.

the S8 is an auto - doesn't require any skill - just point and shoot.

 

This has nothing to do with whether you're happy the S8 is faster than the S2000 or whether you own both or just one or none.

You're smoking one Quattro too much if you think the S8 smokes the S2000 in anything other than that whole "in-the-rain" argument all you Audi guys love to use.
