Default s2000 beatdown

A buddy and myself were tuning his car w/ the ol` a$s dyno late one night and ran into a brand new s2k at a light. There was not a soul in miles so we threw him a rev. He replied and when the light turned green we both took off. By the end of the 3rd gear we were about 7-8 cars up on him and let off. At the next light he used the old "nos is cheating" line so we asked him to pull over and find the nos lines/bottle. When he finally realized he was beatdown pretty bad by an all motor civic he was astounded. We tried to explain to him what our setup was but I think he was a Honda newbie. Basically it`s a 92-95 w/ a b20 setup that does 12`s =)

So are you running a B16 head with a B20 block?? What about cams and cam gears?? Bored out throttle body, intake manifold, port and polished head, cams, cam gears, high compression pistons, bigger block, header and exhaust. Basically with a good all motor setup you could max out at what 180-190 whp?? Please correct me if I am wrong - I only have beginner experience in all motor but I am a great fan of it.

Now if you are in a 92-95 coupe/sedan - that would put you at what 2600lbs. I dont think you would be hitting 12s then. So I am assuming you are in a hatch - now if you are in a hatch you would still need more than 200 whp to get you into 12s.

Hey man - I am just curious how you are getting so much hp NA. Don't get me wrong I admire how much time and effort people put into their cars and NA is more noble than FI anyday.

Could you please list the details of what you have done to your car.

I saw in your sig that you have a S2K with boost...is it S/C or T?

The problem here is there are not allot of mods available for the S2K yet without rebuilding the motor and that takes away from the uniqueness and 9K revs. You have a really nice ride by the sounds of it. It would be like your HB stock or even a turbo against a stock S2K. The stock S2K driven properly will hand the collective hat to any of those cars.

Add more mods like you did and what would you expect. Your nice ride will eat stock cars all day.
The S2k needs a reliable Turbo at about 18-psi boost. Or someone to add the Comptech SC with lowered compression so you can raise the boost from 6psi to 14psi, add the intercooler. And you should have the S2K pulling maybe a low twelve or high 11's. Maybe better with a 75 shot of NOS as well. Time will tell when somebody finally figures out the F20C engine.

In the mean time nice kill

specs on the HB:
b20z
b16 head
CTR cams
12:1 compression
DC header
ITR intake manifold
...and other goodies
Car makes over 200 easily

180-200 is pretty much the norm in a decent all motor setup. Some of the faster all motor hondas are making well over 240. We built a b20 HB for an NSX friend and he has more fun in the HB. He`s taken down a few m3`s in the last week. You`d be suprprised how fast these cars can be.

btw, I have the comptech unit. I`m working on an after cooler kit for it as we speak and pistons/rods are next

One more thing, 200 will get you in the 12`s. Another friend makes 201 and does 12.90`s on crappy slicks
