think E36 definitely "feels" faster...
As for 911's... c'mon.. I dont think they are that fast... unless you
bring in the almighty 911TT
There are very few "idiots" on this forum from what I can tell. Most people are very sensible when it comes to general information or racing stories. Yeah, occasionally there is an unbelievable story, but take it for what it is.... just a story. Sometimes it is all about the driver. Most all of us know and will rightfully acknowledge and respect any car that is faster (usually much more expensive too) and even some cars that aren't faster than ours i.e. Type R/CL Type S...etc.. I also give high respect to.
Keep in mind the S2000 can also lose to cars it shouldn't because of the driver. I've seen posts where the driver lost to a Type R driver or CL Type S. Are they "idiots" for claiming to have beat an S2000? NO, they were probably the better driver in that race.
I have to say the older M3 (stock) is not at all out of the S2000's league. I myself raced one from a roll and pulled on him by approx 1 car length. Is this an outrageous story for you? Maybe I was the better driver, but these cars are also very close in performance. Now the newer model M3 would be a different story. That car is very sweet.
Keep in mind also a post with words such as idiot and ass don't usually go over too well. There are other ways of getting your point across.
I'm with Pappy wondering what you drive?

Forcefed?? who's forcefeedin' you?? and what are they feeding you?
If you come in here for that reason....get a life
I love coming to this forum, because I love reading the posts of some of the disillusioned S2000 owners
But I think if we bring in the editors from any noteworthy automobile magazine (car and driver, autoweek, motortrend, etc.) who know MUCH more about cars than you all claim, they will back me up in stating that it is ridiculous to place your cars in the same performance categories as the ones I have named above.

I am sorry but I am not here to make an idiot out of myself, I am here to point out the idiots that are putting their Honda S2000s in the same category as machines like the C5, the 911s, the M3s, etc. If you disagree, then state your case. Here's an old one i found from forcefed:

I have a 96 Miata with FmIII and all the goodies. Total cost for everything.....21,000 dollars. That's right folks, 21,000 for the opportunity to annihilate:
C5s
Porsches
Supras
RX7s
and of course your Stooks, which actually are the least challenging of them all. 0-60 comes to me in about 4.3 seconds, and I pull G's in excess of .97 on the skidpad.

He obviously hasnt run any modified foriegns.
And he still has to drive home in a friggin miata.

I read this board frequently and never once did I hear an s2000 owner say that the s2000 is better than any of those cars mentioned above. Sure I've heard a kill story or two, but in some cases even the driver of the s2k was surprised that he/she won the race. Perhaps you should read the posts a little more closely Forcefed... seems like you only read the topic then make your comments from there.
