The amount of nitrous you spray has a lot to do with displacement. A viper can take a 175-200 shot for a somewhat long time and be ok. A LS1/6 can take a 125-150 shot for some time and be ok.

A 75 shot is right on the edge for the S2000 IMO. Also with that much nitrous per cylinder, unless you have a direct port system, the back cylinders are going to be starved.

After spraying a 75 shot for a long time, do a leakdown test. I bet not all the cylinders come out the same.

Thats bullshit. So you would rather spend more money to go fast when it could be done a lot cheaper?

the S is defintely capable of handling more than 75 shots of nitrous. I have a direct port setup and spray a bit more than 100 shots. As far as displacement goes your comments have some truths because you do need more fuel. So if you utilize a wet a system you could spray more with the proper setup (retard, higher octane, plugs, rpm window switch, etc..). As far as cheap...it all depends. I have 2K in parts just with the nitrous setup. Nitrous does not harm the motor if used and setup properly. It does the same thing a turbo charger does but not mechanically just chemically. There are folks out there that have been spraying 120 shots for a very long time on their S. They have spent a lot of time tuning and creating the ideal
setup. The last time I checked they were pushing around 350 at the wheels. Just do your research and make a qualified decision. Italian knows the deal.

The motor is not your only concern. Don't forget to budget some differential and half-shaft upgrade/repairs.

kumar.....well it comes like that but the STI is the modded version of the WRX, am I correct? If so then thats like comparing a stock s2000 vs. the comptech s2000. Even though the WRX has a turbo we are dealing with a completely modded version of one.

No its not like that.

A STI comes like that from the factory with a Subaru warranty. A comptech S2000 does not come with a Honda warranty. Its AFTERMARKET.

well, how about this.....its like a modded m3 from dinan or modded mercedes from amg. The m3 still retains its factory warranty, and the same thing with the mercedes even if they have AMG put something on that doesn't come stock. Also the STI is and advertised as basically a suped up WRX. Just like the EVOLUTION with the lancer.

well, the sti sort of is a supped up wrx. but then again, both of them are very similar vehicles (both turbo, 4 cyl, awd). but saying the evolution is a "suped up" lancer is just ignorant. the the evo and lancer are completely different in just about every catagory you can think of.
