s2000 versus miata
Someone is trying to tell me the miata is faster
" It also means that to launch it properly (to get 0-60 and 1/4 mile times higher than a Miata), you've got to know exactly what you're doing, and it's not easy on your driveline. While you can turn decent 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times, this car is not built with that in mind, and if you are expecting that, either expect to be disappointed, or to replace clutches very often. "
Has anyone raced a miata?

Hmmm. By the sound of your quote it seems this person isn't saying that the Miata is faster but that the S2K isn't exactly designed for 1/4 mile sprints. In this regard, they are exactly correct. Now, if they are also saying that the Miata IS designed for the quarter, then you can pretty much ignore anything else they have to say about cars.
BTW, my favorite car critic (especially when it comes to the S) is the person who's never actually driven one... priceless!
