Default S2000 vs 325is

I am driving and enjoying the last few days of top down night driving, when a 325is comes up next to me and get held up by traffic. I am able to move left and get to the head of the pack and the 325is moves with me and get right on my bummer. This is one of those things that really irritates me. Then the 325is makes a sharp move right to come even with me and gets on it. I drop from 3rd to 2nd and floor it. The result, I'm sure no surprise, I walk the BMW by MANY car lengths. Then I slowed down and here he comes again. I don't understand people like this. I let him go, as there was no reason to waste gas.

Just something you gotta get used to with this car. It happens to me all the time out here in SF. Not so bad if you're in the mood to go. If I'm not, I'll just move over and let them go.

Rolotomasu - where in SF do you usually drive? Everytime I take the S2000 out, I can never find anyone to play with.

S2Thizzle - I live in the peninsula. Most "players" I encounter are either in the East Bay or whenever I head into the city. Specially heading home late after a Friday or Sat night in the city, when cars are scarce on 101/280, plenty of people wanting to run on the way home. No doubt it's mostly people just trying to get home fast but when they see you, they figure what the heck! Play safe!

That's what I thought at first, but once we were in the clear he stayed on me and matched my speed. Then he pulls up next to me and matches my speed. Then he takes off. This was the type of traffic that is 7-8 car, grouped together at a light, taking off at the same speed. Once you are clear of them, it's open road.

Tail gating me after the break in the pack, pulling up next to me and matching speed, constitutes at a**hole wanting to look at the car. Taking off like you stole it after the look, constitutes a race. IMHO
